EP.5 of the Tulips Bloom Quilt Series

Welcome to episode 5 of the The Tulips Bloom quilt series, it's all about pressing and nesting those seams. If you don't know what nesting means in quilting terms, then this video is for you.

I show you how I press my rows, talk about the importance of directional pressing and you can see how those seams line up nicely after a good press.

Episode 5 of the Tulips Bloom Quilt Series.

When I make my quilt tops I like to split them into 2 halves and start sewing the rows together for that particular half of the quilt. However for this quilt top, I made it in 3 pieces. There are flying geese made with half square triangles right in the centre of the quilt, so I decided that I would sew those two rows together first, as they can be a little bit tricky to line up.

Don’t forget there is a playlist for this series and if you subscribe to my YouTube channel you won’t miss an episode.

I hope you enjoyed this video and I would love to hear how you are getting on with assembling your rows for your Tulips Bloom quilt.
