Welcome to episode 6 of the The Tulips Bloom quilt series, this episode is about basting the Tulips, and I show you how I baste on a boat in a very small space.

I show you how I baste quilts on the narrowboat we live on. I don’t have any floor space to be able to baste quilts on. It is possible to baste quilts in a small space, with a little bit of planning and thought. I don’t have the set up on The Little Boat to be able to baste a quilt.
I tell you which wadding I have used for this quilt, and I have used a Vlieseline wadding/batting. I baste my quilts with Odif 505 temporary adhesive, as I don’t like basting quilts with pins.
There are lots of different ways to baste a quilt, and this is the way that works for me.
