A bit about our retreats.
Join Tracy from Rope and Anchor Trading Co at one of our retreats in 2025.
Tracy has wonderful weekends of quilting, crafting and stitching planned for you at Hurds Hill Regency Country House, set in 5 acres of private and peaceful grounds with views over the Somerset Levels.
Hurds Hill is a beautiful venue with a light and airy room for us to sew in each day, with a dedicated cutting and pressing room.
The retreats start at 3.00 pm on the Friday and finish at 3.00 pm on the Sunday. Over the weekend you will be able to sew and quilt projects of your choice, eat fabulous food cooked by 2 of the chefs at Hurds Hill, wander around the gardens and make new quilting and sewing friends.
We have the use of the house and gardens and there are 13 ensuite bedrooms, all individually decorated, reflecting the owners eclectic taste. Each room has a theme and beautiful views of the gardens around the house.
All meals are included, and there is a magnificent dining room for us to use throughout the weekend. There is no menu for you to order from. Each meal is made specifically as if we are dining at a friends house. You will need to let us know any dietary requirements and anything you really don’t like, as the food is prepared by the owners with locally sourced seasonal produce.
Cancellation Policy
All bookings are non refundable so please ensure you can make the date before making your booking.
If you are unable to attend the retreat, please let us know as soon as possible, you are welcome to send somebody else in your place.
Please let us know their contact details, (name, address, email and telephone number), so that arrangements can be made and confirmation details passed on.
We reserve the right to charge a late payment fee of £25.00 if the balance of the retreat is later than 10 days after the invoice.
Our right to cancel - in exceptional circumstances unfortunately we may have to cancel a retreat. If that does happen we will give you as much notice as possible, and see if we can accommodate you on an alternative date. If we are unable to do that we will refund you.

In the unfortunate event that you are unhappy with your stay with us, please notify us as soon as possible to ensure that we have the opportunity to rectify this for you, during the retreat.
To secure your place, the initial deposit of £99.00 is due at the point of booking. There are two payment options to pay the balance of your retreat. Option one is to pay in full, option two is to pay in two further instalments, these will be sent via invoice. Dates will be confirmed on each event. Please allow 48 working hours to receive this information via email.
