my first series on YouTube
I have my very first series coming out on YouTube, this April 2024. I have never created anything like this, and even though it has been a massive amount of work, I am super proud of myself for giving it a go.
I thought it would be fun to document each stage of making a quilt - but let’s be honest, if I hadn’t recorded each step, edited the videos, made a bunch of bloopers, created thumbnails etc, the quilt would have been finished by now and released as a new pattern.
It has been a huge learning curve for me, and as at the time of writing this I still have lots more recording to do for this series.
The Tulips Bloom quilt pattern is a series of three new quilt patterns coming out this April. They all compliment each other really well, so please look out for Thistle Whispers and the Cornflower Breeze quilt patterns.
In this series I will be taking you through how I make my quilts, from choosing the fabric, cutting, creating half square triangles (hst’s), assembling the rows, pressing and nesting the rows, basting, quilting and the finishing touches of binding my quilt.
